Ronald Gene Draughn

Ronald Gene Draughn, 75, of Laurens and husband of Donna Nalesnik Draughn, passed away at PRISMA Healthcare Laurens County Hospital, on Thursday, July 9, 2026.

Born in Washington, DC, he was a son of the late Ira V. and Jeanne Gose Draughn. Ron was a US Air Force Vietnam Veteran, loved to fish and was a former manager of a paint store.

In addition to his wife, Ron is survived by children, Amy Draughn Bates (Evan), Richard Joseph Benya (Lindsey), and Tiffany Lyn Benya; nine grandchildren; brother, James Draughn (Norma); and sisters, Lisa Draughn Frohoca (Steve) and Patricia Draughn (Terry Cook).

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by brothers, Phillip C. Draughn and David G. Draughn.
