Joyce Casey Owings

Laurens, South Carolina

Joyce Casey Owings, 87 of Laurens, and wife of the late Robert E. Owings, went home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Saturday, April 4, 2026.

Born in Enoree, she was the daughter of the late Blanche Waddell Casey and Lecil Venson Casey. Joyce was the proud owner of Styles Elite Salon, in Camden, SC, where she worked as a cosmetologist for many years. She was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church and former member of Eastside Baptist Church.

Joyce is survived by her cherished daughter Lynn Owings of Laurens; a sister Sarah Crocker of Enoree; and brothers Lecil “Whitey” Venson Casey, Jr. (Barbara) of Greer and Keith Casey of Enoree; plus, many treasured nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to her husband, Joyce was predeceased by her beloved son, Hicks Martin Owings; two sisters Marie Watkins and Gale Williamson; and her baby brother Roger Lee Casey.

A funeral service will be held at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel, Tuesday, April 7 at 11:00, conducted by Rev. Alex D. Henderson and Rev. J.D. Putman. The burial will follow in Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery where Lynn will greet family and friends.
