James Stephen “Dickie” Bloodworth

Laurens, South Carolina

It is with deep sadness that the Bloodworth family announces the passing of James Stephen “Dickie” Bloodworth, 73, of Laurens.  Mr. Bloodworth, husband of June Adkins Bloodworth, passed away on July 7, 2025, at his home.

Born on January 19, 1952, Steve was the son of the late Curtis and Louise Rankin Bloodworth.  He worked as a machinist at Michelin, Byers Machine Shop, and Dynamic Technology.  Steve was a member of Todd Memorial Presbyterian Church, was a Mason and Shriner, and a member of Palmetto Lodge #19.

In addition to his wife, his is survived by children, James S. Bloodworth II and Tammy Feely; sister, Susan Jennings; grandchildren, Kayla Bloodworth, Callie Bloodworth, Trevor Staggs, and Dylan Smith; and five great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brother, John T. Bloodworth and a grandchild, Taylor Staggs.

A cryptside service will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Forest Lawn Mausoleum, conducted by Rev. Ben Rumph, with military honors.  The family will receive friends at mausoleum immediately following the cryptside service.
