UPDATE: Coroner’s office identifies victim
Investigators from the Laurens County Sheriff’s Office are searching for a man they believe was involved in a Friday night shooting that left one person dead.
The LCSO said the shooting incident occurred around 11 a.m. Friday on Cow Trail in Gray Court, and have since identified Terrence Jerrell Williams as a person of interest in the shooting. Williams is 5-foot-11 and weighs 220 pounds and considered by law enforcement to be armed and dangerous.
Saturday night, Laurens County Deputy Coroner James Black identified the victim as Quienzavius Terrell Rogers, who was found dead at the scene. An autopsy showed that Rogers died from a single gunshot to the side of the neck.
The case continues to be investigated by the LCSO and the South Carolina Law Enforcement Division (SLED).
