2nd shooting in Gray Court involves LCSO deputy
A Laurens County Sheriff’s deputy has been involved in a shooting incident in Gray Court for the second time in the span of little more than a week.
The LCSO announced on social media Thursday that a law enforcement presence was in the area of Lakeview Drive and Highway 101 around 11 a.m.
Later, the LCSO said the incident was an officer-involved shooting.
The investigation has been turned over to the State Law Enforcement Division (SLED), as is protocol. Another officer-involved shooting occurred in Gray Court on Wednesday, Oct. 2 and is also currently being investigated by SLED.
