Floyd Gary Taylor, Jr.

Floyd Gary Taylor, Jr., age 97, of Laurens, and widow of Betty McKee Taylor, passed away on Wednesday, September 27, 2023, at Martha Franks Retirement Community.
Born in Laurens, he was a son of the late Floyd G. Taylor, Sr. and Bertha Deitz Taylor. Mr. Taylor was a US Navy Veteran and was employed with Laurens Electric Co-op for 46 years. He was a member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church. He was a life-long resident of Laurens who recently moved to Martha Franks Retirement Community.
Surviving are his two sons, Gary Taylor (Jean) of Greenville and Tommy Taylor of Laurens; brothers, Kenneth Taylor (Sara) and Bryce Taylor; grandchildren, Lee Taylor, Wade Taylor, Amanda Honeycutt (Thomas); great-grandchildren, Mercer Taylor, Benjamin Taylor, Addison Pittman, Zoey Honeycutt, and Zackery Honeycutt.
In addition to his wife and parents, Floyd was predeceased by his two brothers, Jack Taylor, and Maurice Taylor.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Forest Lawn Cemetery conducted by Rev. Michael Post.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.
