PC men match ’18 victory total by topping Longwood

The Presbyterian College men’s basketball team won its 11th game of the season Saturday, equaling its total number of victories for all of last season, when it notched a 71-64 victory over the Longwood Lancers at the Templeton Center in Clinton.

Presbyterian is now 11-9 overall and 3-2 in the Big South. The victory is also the team’s third in its last five games – with all three victories coming at home.

Adam Flagler scored 21 points, Romeo Crouch added 14 points and six boards off the bench, and Cory Hightower had 11 points and 12 boards for the Blue Hose, who shot 15 of 21 from the foul line.

PC got the benefit of a video review with 6 minutes, 48 seconds to go in the second half when, up 56-53, Longwood’s Pernell Adgei was called for a flagrant-1 foul. From there the Blue Hose scored six straight points and never led by fewer than five points the rest of the game.

PC will visit USC Upstate Monday afternoon at 4 p.m.
