Louis Albert Pitts

Gray Court, S.C. – Louis Albert Pitts, age 85, of 17162 Hwy 101 South, Hickory Tavern Community, and husband of Maureen Dowell Pitts, passed away on Sunday, June 11, 2017, at his home. Born in Laurens County, he was a son of the late Joseph Clifton and Maggie South Pitts. Louis was a US Air Force Veteran. He retired from BF Shaw and worked with Laurens County School District 55 at Gray Court Owings School after retiring. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 15, at Rabun Creek Baptist Church. Burial with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the church from 12:30-1:45 pm on Thursday, prior to the service. Condolences may be expressed online at www.thekennedymortuary.com.
