William Reginald “Reggie” Rush

Laurens, South Carolina

Reggie Rush, 63 of Laurens, and husband of Julie McNinch Rush, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2026.

Born in Woodruff, he was the son of the late Edward Charles Rush and Faye Manley Thornhill.

Reggie retired from Walmart where he worked for many years as an asset protection manager. As a devout man of faith, Reggie was a member of the Northside Baptist Church and regularly attended Community Baptist Church in Clinton. He and his loving wife, Julie have lived in 6 different states together throughout their 36 incredible years of marriage. A family man through and through, Reggie enjoyed spending time with those he cherished most, especially watching movies together. He was passionate about everything and everyone which was evident by the way he brought love and laughter to every room he was in.

In addition to his loving wife, Reggie is survived by his children Tyler Rush (Morgan) and Dianna Elize Rush (Stephen); grandchildren Carolina Rush, Olivia Rush, Alexandra Rush; half-brother Danny Thornhill (Kelly); Sister-in-laws Libby Owens (Steve), Edi McNinch, Cathy McNinch; nieces and nephews Tonya McNinch, Mandy McNinch, Katie Spillers, Daniel Owens, Connor Thornhill, Hayley Coleman; 1 great niece, 5 great nephews; and 3 special cousins, Barry Martin, Joe McNinch, and Sherri Pennington.

Reggie was predeceased by brothers, Eddie and Pat Rush; grandson Colton Rush; and brother-in-law Billy McNinch.

A funeral service will be held at Northside Baptist Church, Wednesday, April 22, at 2:00pm, conducted by Rev. Ronnie Blackwell and Rev. Ken Owens. The burial will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

A visitation will be held at The Kennedy Mortuary, Tuesday, April 21, from 6:00-8:00pm.
