Columbia, S.C. (July 17, 2025) – The South Carolina Department of Transportation seeks public comment on the action to amend the 2024-2033 Statewide Transportation Improvement Program (STIP) to include a bridge replacement project at the Laurens-Spartanburg county line. SCDOT will receive public comment for the 21-day period from July 17, 2025 through August 7, 2025.

The purpose of the project is to replace the bridge on S-30-112 (Beaverdam Church Road)/S-42-116 (Kilgore Bridge Road) over the Enoree River at the Laurens-Spartanburg county line. The bridge sustained irreparable damage during Hurricane Helene and has been demolished and removed.
