Steven Paul Martinek

Steven Paul Martinek, age 67, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, September 28, 2024, at the home of his fiancé, Lynda Hudson Workman.

Born in Pittsburgh, PA, he was the son of the late Paul John and Barbara Self Martinek of Laurens. Steve was a member of Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church. He was a long-time CNC operator, was hard-working, loved building things with his hands, and he was a NASCAR fan. Steve enjoyed music and sharing it with his girls. He loved spending time with his fiancé, with his family, and his dog, Cricket.

Steve is survived by his daughters, Amanda Bragg and Caroline Martinek; brothers, Timothy Martinek (Nancy) of Maryville, TN, and Michael Martinek of Laurens; and a sister, Susan Martinek Mattison (Bill) of Lexington; and grandchildren, Lane Bragg, Lilly Bragg, Ava Garrett, Riley Jacks, and Aiden Cogsdill.

Steve is also survived by his fiancé, Lynda Hudson Workman and her family, Kayli Smith (Timbo), and their children, Emmie Smith and Maddie Smith, and Brady Cox (Tara).

In addition to his parents, Steve was predeceased by his son John Paul Martinek.

The family invites you to join them for a graveside service at Chestnut Ridge Baptist Church Cemetery on Sunday, October 6, 2024, at 2:00, conducted by Rev. Alex D. Henderson and Rev. Richard Cain.
