Laurens, South Carolina – Main Street Laurens will host its first Summer Craft Beer Tasting this Friday from 6 to 9 p.m., and while the forecast calls for a really hot day, one beer is aptly named, “Beer to Drink When It’s Hot Outside.”
It’s just one of 24 different South Carolina craft beers that will be available for tasting for this weekend’s Finally Friday in Laurens. Tastings will take place within the 12 participating downtown businesses.
“It’s going to be a hot day, but you’ll be walking from store to store, so you’ll have the air conditioning,” said Main Street Director Craig Scharton. “So it’s still going to be a great night with friends or a date night, and tickets are only $10. It’s a really great value and you’ll get to see these really cute shops and other businesses downtown.”
Those will include the new Sunny Meadows Boutique, a children’s boutique opening officially Saturday at 103 West Public Square.

Vinyl, the Laurens band which performs acoustic rock and classics from the ’60s through the ’80s, will be playing from 6-9 p.m. and Big Air Trampoline Park will once again provide children’s games on the Plaza.
Tickets can be purchased on the Main Street Laurens website, mainstreetlaurens.org.
Sales are limited to 200 tickets so while there may be a few available Friday night, Scharton recommends purchasing online ahead of time.
Ticketholders can show their tickets on their phones and start at Designs by D on Main Street, or South Public Square. There they’ll get their wristbands and the first two samples.
