LCSO school supply drive set for Friday

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office’s annual “Fill the Cruiser” school supply drive is set for this Friday at Chick-Fil-A in Laurens from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

The Laurens County Sheriff’s Office annual Fill the Cruiser school supply drive is set for Friday at Chick-Fil-A in Laurens.

The event is scheduled for 9 a.m.-2 p.m. and accepts monetary and supply donations to help county students in need.

Items needed include: clear and regular book bags, notebooks, pencils and erasers, packs of paper, pencil sharpeners, folders, binders, graph paper, glue, highlighters/markers, crayons, colored pencils and pens.

Friday’s event is for collections only. Donations can be made through July 26 at the LCSO offices on West Main Street in Laurens.

The LCSO will host its Back to School Bash on Saturday, July 27 from 9:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Laurens County Judicial Complex at 100 Hillcrest Drive.

In addition to the school supply giveaway, the Bash will feature bounce houses, Tiny Trotters therapy horses, ice cream and pizza and clothing closets from The First Church and Queen Bees.
