Clinton police seeking info on robbery, shooting suspect

Investigators from the Clinton Police Department have asked for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in a robbery and shooting at a convenience store Tuesday night.

The CPD released security camera photos from the Marathon Station at 410 West Main Street Wednesday afternoon.

Officers were called to the store just before 10 p.m. Tuesday in response to a robbery and shooting.

The clerk was found with a gunshot wound, but was alert and speaking with emergency perssonnel before being airlifted to PrismaHealth Greenville Memorial Hospital.

The suspect is described as a black male, who was wearing a black hoodie and jeans at the time of the robbery. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to come forward.
