2 killed in Jones Road motorcycle crash
Two people were killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday night on Jones Road near Durbin Road in Laurens County.
The crash occurred just after 7 p.m.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Nick Pye said a 2026 Kawasaki motorcycle carrying both victims was traveling south on Jones Road when the motorcycle ran off the right side of the road and struck a fire hydrant and a tree.
The Laurens Count Coroner’s Office had not released the identities of the victims as of Sunday night.
The accident is still under investigation by the SCHP.
