Passenger dies in single-vehicle crash

UPDATE: Victim identified as Fountain Inn man, 24

A passenger traveling on Martins Lake Road died early Saturday morning in a single-vehicle crash near Highway 92 and Gray Court.

South Carolina Highway Patrol Master Trooper Brandon Bolt said the accident occurred around 12:15 a.m.

The Laurens County Coroner’s Office identified the victim Monday as Enrique Hernandez Orozco, 24, of Fountain Inn.

A 2009 Nissan sedan was traveling west on Martins Lake Road when it traveled off the right side of the road, struck a ditch and a tree before overturning.

The identity of the victim has yet to be released by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.
