Richard Winn hands Crusaders 41-14 loss
WINNSBORO – Richard Winn Academy opened its season Friday night with a 41-14 victory over visiting Laurens Academy.
The Crusaders (1-1) trailed 35-0 before getting on the scoreboard in the second half.
LA’s Buddy Baker scored to end the Eagles’ shutout bid, cutting the lead to 35-6.
Senior running back Clarence Bertoli added LA’s second score on the final play of the game. Baker added the 2-point conversion to make the final 41-14.
