The Salvation Army is much more than thrift stores and red kettles.  The Museum in Greenwood is celebrating the 100th anniversary of the establishment of The Salvation Army Corps in Greenwood County with an exhibit showcasing the many ways The Army is fulfilling its mission of DOING THE MOST GOOD.

The exhibit, one of the few ever displayed outside of a Salvation Army center, includes vintage memorabilia from The Salvation Army Southern Territorial Historical Center in Atlanta, Georgia.  Additional photographs and ministry descriptions are from The Salvation Army USA and The Salvation Army International Archives.

The exhibit begins on Thursday, February 11 at The Museum in Greenwood, 106 Main Street.  Museum hours are Wed-Sat from 10:00-4:00.  Admission is free, and masks are required.  For more info, contact The Museum at (864) 229-7093.
