Mary Ann Coleman Hawkins, 88, of Laurens and wife of 67 years to the late James Ray Hawkins, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at Martha Franks Retirement Community.

Born on April 14, 1938, in Anderson, she was the daughter of the late James Aubrey Coleman and Eunice Inez Dodson Coleman. Her commitment to her church extended beyond her professional duties, as she was an active member of the congregation and a cherished participant in the Bobby Smith Sunday School Class.  Mary Ann had a passion for cooking and found great joy in preparing meals for her family and friends. Her kitchen was a place of comfort and love, where she created countless memories with those she held dear.  More than anything, Mary Ann was a devoted Christian woman. Her faith was the foundation of her life, guiding her through every joy and every hardship. She trusted in God’s plan, and lived as an example of His love, kindness, and strength.  Mary Ann was a resilient and strong-willed woman.  No matter what life placed in front of her, she faced it with determination, grace, and unwavering faith. She stood firm in her beliefs, loved fiercely, and left a lasting impact on everyone blessed enough to know her! Mary Ann leaves behind a legacy, and her example will live on in the hearts of those who knew her, forever.  Her race is finished, her faith has become sight, and she is at peace.
