Christopher Leland Bolt

Kingston Springs, Tennessee, and Laurens, South Carolina

Christopher Leland Bolt, age 55, of Kingston Springs, TN, and Laurens, SC, transitioned to his heavenly resting place on March 2, 2026, surrounded by the family and friends he loved so dearly.

Born in Laurens County on December 15, 1970, to Johnnie and Elizabeth “Lib” Fuller Bolt, Chris grew up alongside his sisters, Casey Leigh and Elizabeth Lynn, and his special cousin, Michelle. To them, he was — and always remained — the undisputed “favorite boy” of the group.

Chris’s life was defined by a spirit of service and a thirst for adventure. After serving in the U.S. Navy, he initially pursued a career in the music industry before finding his true calling in Healthcare. Driven by deep compassion, he dedicated himself to international missions, specifically in Haiti, and most recently served as a Clinical Informaticist for HCA.

Affectionately known as “Topher” or “Dad,” Chris was a man of integrity and humor. He lived by the mantra of “experiencing the serenity of traveling alone,” yet he never truly met a stranger. Following his father’s example, he would never shake a hand while sitting down. His sister remembers him as the “step-up man”—the person who was always there when needed, especially for the children in his life, whom he loved to treat to days of “bad decisions,” which included junk food, and staying up late.

He is survived by his parents, Johnnie and Lib Bolt; his daughters, Cosette Bolt (Wyatt) and Ella Bolt; his sister, Lynn White (Ole); Nieces, Lauren Summer (Kevin) Cassidy Edwards, Regan Luiz, Nephews; Zachary Edwards (Charlie), Holden White, Kelten Gammill, Brother In-Law Dennis Edwards, Special Aunts; Bettie Pursley, Betty Ann Spires, and countless cousins, relatives and friends who span the globe. He was preceded in death by his beloved sister, Casey Leigh Edwards.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, March 16, 2026, at First Baptist Church, Laurens, SC.  Visitation begins at 10:00 AM, followed by the service at 11:00 AM.

A celebration of Life will be held on Monday, March 23 at Pegram United Methodist Church in Pegram, TN.  Visitation begins at 2:00 PM, followed by the service at 3:00 PM.
