Mary Sue Williamson Merchant

Mary Sue Williamson Merchant, age 75, of Laurens, and widow of Curtis Merchant, passed away on Sunday, October 22, 2023, at Hospice of Laurens County Hospice House in Clinton.
Born in Newberry, she was a daughter of the late Robert Lee and Dora Ellison Williamson. Mrs. Merchant retired from General Electric.
Surviving are her sons, Michael “Mike” Merchant and Jason Merchant (Amber) both of Laurens; brother, Carl Williamson (Tammy) of Laurens; and his sister, Martha Craine.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by her brothers, Junior Ray Williamson, LC Williamson, and Bobby Gene Williamson; and sisters, Pearl W. Parker, Reba W. Spires, Alene W. Riddle, and Helen Williamson.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday October 27, 2023, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. David Johnston with burial following in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
The family will be at their respective homes.
