Richard Samuel “Rick” Poole

Richard Samuel “Rick” Poole, age 72, of Laurens, and husband of 45 years to Ann Templeton Poole, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at his home.

Born in Laurens, he was the son of the late John Samuel and Lila Mae Herrin Poole. Rick was a graduate of Cumberland College and Austin Peay State University, both in Tennessee. He retired from the box industry after 42 years of service and was a member of First Baptist Church of Laurens. Rick loved his family and friends with a big heart.

Surviving in addition to his wife are his daughters, Temple P. Holland (Jonathan) of Buford, GA and Amanda P. Welch (Tripp) of Greenville, SC; and his grandchildren, Reese Holland and Thomas Holland.

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, October 7, 2022, at Westview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the graveside service.

The family will be at the residence.
