George Dellaportas
Dr. George Dellaportas, age 90, entered eternal rest surrounded by his family on September 26, 2022.
Beloved husband of Teresa Dellaportas (nee Kritikos). Loving father of Sandy Jones (Robert) and John Dellaportas (Lisa). Dear grandfather to Bobby Jones and Charlie Jones.
Preceded in death in by his parents John Dellaportas and Alexandra Georgiadis.
Dr. Dellaportas was, for nearly two decades, the Health Programs Administrator at Whitten Center Hospital. He loved Whitten Center’s residents and staff, and greatly cherished his time in the Clinton community.
Dr. Dellaportas retired in 2003, and moved to the Cleveland area to be close to his daughter, son-in-law, and two grandchildren. Thereafter, he always spoke fondly of his years in Laurens County.
In younger days, Dr. Dellaportas served in the Greek Army as a machine gunner.
Interment at Monastery Marcha Cemetery.
