Person killed in Highway 72 motorcycle crash
A motorcyclist died Saturday evening in a single-vehicle accident on Highway 72 in Laurens County.
According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the driver of a 2007 BMW motorcycle traveled off the left side of the road on Highway 72 near Crystal Bay Drive around 5:35 p.m.
The motorcycle struck a tree, and the driver died at the scene of the accident. The identity of the victim has yet to be released by the Laurens County Coroner’s Office.
