Kid’s crafts, Carolina Coast Band in Laurens for Finally Friday tonight

Laurens, S.C. – Beach Music will be on tap tonight, July 8, in Downtown Laurens as the City of Laurens and Main Street Laurens offer another Finally Friday on the Square.

“We are excited to welcome the Carolina Coast Band back for a night of beach music on the square from 7 to 9 p.m.,” said Main Street Laurens Director Jonathan Irick. “Despite the heat, we have had really good crowds each week and we look forward to having everyone join us downtown.”

Food trucks open at 6 p.m. and so far include Lobster Dawgs of SC, Nuttin Butt Chicken and the Front Porch Churn.

The music is set to begin at 7 tonight on the City of Laurens Stage, located on the north side of the Historic Courthouse in Downtown Laurens.

“One new thing this week will be a craft tent for kids. Parents will need to be present, but we’ll have a small craft project the kids can make and take home with them,” Irick said. “We’ll also have a game for kids and the Laurens City Fire Department will have one of its trucks downtown.”

Children are welcome to view the truck and talk with the firefighters.

Restaurants and businesses will also be open, Irick said.
