Local teams set for postseason push
The postseason for the county’s high schools are now in focus with Region 3-3A baseball champion Clinton hosting the opening round and Laurens, the No. 3 seed from Region 2-4A, heading to Westside.
The Red Devils tennis team, a 4-2 victor over Seneca Thursday, is also set to host its third-round playoff match against Wren at 5 p.m. Monday. Both Clinton soccer teams earned respective No. 2 seeds from Region 3-3A and will host matches Monday (boys) and Tuesday (girls) at Wilder Stadium.
Laurens Academy was also set to begin the opening round of the SCISA Class 1A baseball playoffs at Andrew Jackson Academy (Ehrhardt) at 6 p.m. Monday.
LDHS is set to host the Region 2-4A boys golf tournament Monday at Lakeside Country Club.
