Police investigating Clinton, Laurens shootings

Investigators from the Clinton and Laurens police departments are investigating separate shooting incidents that occurred Wednesday.

According to Clinton Police, officers responded to an incident at Clinton Manor and found a gunshot victim who was subsequently taken to Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital. Clinton Police continue to investigate the shooting.

Around 9 p.m., Laurens Police responded to another shooting incident in an area long South Harper Street Extension. The victim was flown to Prisma Greenville Memorial Hospital and was reportedly in stable condition.

According to an LPD Facebook post, the two shootings are unrelated.

“There is no evidence that this incident is connected in any way to any other incidents in the county,” the post read.

Investigators in both shootings are attempting to identify leads and suspects.
