Boo at the Park moves indoors

Laurens, South Carolina – Due to a 100% chance of rain Thursday evening, Oct. 28, the City of Laurens Parks and Recreation Department is moving Boo in the Park to the Ridge at Laurens.

“We don’t want to take the chance of waiting to the last minute and having to cancel,” said Parks and Recreation Director Jason Pridgen. “A few years ago we had to move it to The Ridge and it worked out alright, so that’s what we opted to do again this year.”

The time frame for Boo at the Park will remain the same as previously scheduled, going from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. In the last year parking at The Ridge was expanded so the city doesn’t expect problems in that regard.

The Boo in the Park is for children ages 10 and under, Pridgen said.

The Ridge at Laurens is located at 301 Exchange Road, Laurens. S.C.
