William “W.C.” Charles Pulley, Sr.

Dateline – Gray Court, South Carolina

William “W.C.” Charles Pulley, Sr., 82, husband of Brenda “Joyce” Haney Pulley for 50 years, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Mr. Pulley was born in Gray Court, S.C., to the late Conway Pace Pulley and Eunice Mae Crocker Pulley. He retired from Mount Vernon Mills. He loved working on lawnmowers and cutting grass. Mr. Pulley enjoyed listening to music, collecting vinyl records and watching western movies.

Surviving, in addition to his wife, are three sons, Tommy Pulley, William C. “Junior” Pulley, Jr. (Betty) and Lee Alewine (Michelle); a brother, Dan Pulley (Bobbie Sue); six grandchildren, Josh Alewine (Ashley), Charlie Pulley III (Kristen), Tra Alewine (Tia), Michael Pulley, Kayla Pulley (Scott) and Georga Alewine; six great-grandchildren, Peyton Alewine, Shelby Alewine, Elektra Alewine, Michael Pulley, Travon Alewine and Skylar Pulley; a special great nephew, Matthew Haney and a former daughter-in-law, Cheryl Bull (Bill), that he loved like a daughter. He was predeceased by one brother, James Pulley and three sisters, Doris Baughman, Rita Pulley and Betty Pulley.

A Celebration of W.C.’s Life will be held at 2:30pm Wednesday at the family home. The address is 4978 Highway 101N, Gray Court, SC 29645. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.
