Beach music from Jukebox 45 as Main Street Laurens hosts Finally Friday
This Friday, evening, July 9, Laurens residents will have another chance to come out to the Historic Downtown Square for music, dancing, shopping and dining when Main Street Laurens hosts its July “Finally Friday,” featuring music by Jukebox 45.
“Jukebox 45 is a band that plays a lot of hits from the ’50s and ’60s and beach music, so it’s a great chance to wear your summer outfits and come out and support our local businesses and restaurants,” said Main Street director Jonathan Irick.
The Laurens Fire Department’s new fire truck was very popular among the children last month, and the LFD hopes to bring the truck back again this weekend for children to pretend to drive.
“The Laurens County Cruisers will be here again, and we will have the Giant Jenga and cornhole games out for everyone to enjoy,” Irick said.
The band is scheduled to play from 7 to 9 p.m. and the pedestrian alley will be closed to traffic while restaurants and businesses will be open late.
Then Saturday morning Main Street Laurens is back in Pedestrian Alley for another week of summer produce at the Downtown Laurens Farmer’s Market, which runs from 8 a.m. to noon.
Is there a schedule for more finally fridays?
