Wendy Christine Campbell Boone

Dateline – Greenwood, South Carolina

          Wendy Christine Campbell Boone
          October 20, 1969-March 24, 2021

Wendy Christine Campbell Boone of Laurens, SC was born on October 20, 1969 in Clinton, SC. She was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt, niece, and friend. Wendy passed away the night of March 23, 2021 at Hospice and Palliative Care of the Piedmont in Greenwood following a prolonged battle with cancer.

All who knew her would agree that Wendy was a force of nature. She was a hurricane of energy and life and was even called “stormy” by her family as a child. She loved the outdoors in general and the ocean in particular, often referring to the beach as her “happy place”. She loved music, ice cream, and adventures. She also loved her canine companion, Bebe. She made a tremendous impact of the lives of all who knew her. She also was a powerful advocate for recovery and often said “Jesus saved my soul, and N.A. saved my life”. She resided in Ohio for several years and was active in both Narcotics Anonymous and Celebrate Recovery there before returning home to South Carolina in recent months for additional treatments.

Wendy is survived by her father, James Earl Campbell; her mother, Toni Kirby Campbell; her brother, James Earl Campbell, Jr.; and her children, Blake, Julia, and Jessi Boone. She also leaves behind countless friends who she met and loved along the way. She will be deeply missed, but she is at peace now with her Savior.
