James “Jamie” Kenneth Hamilton

James “Jamie” Kenneth Hamilton, II, 48, of Columbia, formerly of Laurens County, died Monday, March 8, 2021. Born September 01, 1972, in Clinton, SC, he was the son of the Rev. James (Jim) Kenneth Hamilton, Sr. and Christine (Lane) Holcombe Hamilton.

Jamie was a charismatic and loving person. When you spoke with him, you knew you were the center of his attention. Jamie was a dedicated husband, son, brother and uncle, with deep family devotion. He was a member of Northeast Presbyterian Church, where he served as Deacon and former choir member. Jamie volunteered his time coaching football and baseball for the Spring Valley Youth Sports program. He was also volunteer statistician for Airport High School athletics. Jamie was a Ford Mustang enthusiast and served as the event coordinator for the SC Wild Horses Mustang Club. He enjoyed riding the curves of South Carolina highways in THUNDER, his Mustang, and memory filled trips to the mountains and Edisto, his home away from home. His other passion was cheering on the South Carolina Gamecocks at every opportunity.

In addition to his parents of Laurens, SC; he is survived by his wife, Jennifer L. Hamilton; His Sisters; Johnna Zambrano (Agustin) and Christina “Tina” Smith (Keith). Nephews; Andrew LeGrand (Clarissa), Benjamin Smith, Jared Zambrano and Glen Beer. Nieces; Brittany Hazel, Amber Legrand and Emory Beer. Great Nephews; Jonah Saladin, Micah Saladin and Grayson LeGrand. Great Niece; Lilly Grayce Saladin. Mother-in-law, Barbara O. Lewis (Carl) Sister-in-law, Stephanie Lewis Beer (Brian) and his constant companion, “Deuce”, the Jack Russell; as well as numerous extended family and friends.

A Life Celebration was held at 2 o’clock, Saturday March 13th at Northeast Presbyterian Church with the Church Staff and Eulogy presented by Brittany Hazel and Andrew LeGrand.
