Candis Ann Goodwin
Dateline – Fountain Inn, South Carolina
Candis Ann Goodwin, 65, of Fountain Inn, entered eternal peace with our Lord on February 3rd, 2021, after a month-long battle against COVID.
Candis was born on July 8th, 1955, in Demorest, Georgia to Wayne and Helen Pardue. She grew up in Mauldin, was a proud student of Hillcrest High School, and a 1973 graduate of JL Mann High School.
Candis married Dale Goodwin in December of 1974. They went on to have 2 daughters, Sheila (1980) and Casey (1991). Candis enjoyed visiting Edisto Beach and spending time with family. She loved the Atlanta Braves and the South Carolina Gamecocks. She enjoyed rainy weather, Christmastime, songbirds, and reading her daily devotionals. She was a strong supporter of those with Special Needs, specifically Autism. Candis was also a member of Summit Church in Spartanburg.
Candis leaves behind Dale, her faithful husband of 46 years, as well as her 2 precious daughters, Sheila and Casey. She also leaves behind 2 beloved cats, Rose and Rosemary. Candis is also survived by an older sister, Jevia Lyn Robinson, of Greenville, sister-and brother-in-law Nancy and Randy Goodwin, of Simpsonville, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is pre-deceased by both of her parents, Wayne and Helen Pardue, as well as a number of cousins, aunts, and uncles.
Candis was loved by many. She was a faithful wife, devoted mother, and caring friend. Her lasting hope is for everyone to know Jesus’ love through caring for our neighbors. In honor of her, do something that shows love to those around you, whether it’s feeding the hungry or simply keeping others safe by wearing a mask.
