Not many of us have led such a productive life as Harry Bouknight nor been as loved as he was, especially as the great and loved band director at Clinton High School. He also served as a U.S. marine, served the Lord well, especially as a member of Broad Street Methodist Church, and also didn’t forget the poor and needy and loved supporting United Way. After his retirement he was a teacher in the district’s GED program. That’s where I knew him personally as I did his paperwork that had to be sent to State Dept. And of course most important, a good husband, father and grandfather. Sometimes when a person lives as long as he did, people forget about them. Don’t believe many forgot this man. I know when he got to heaven, God said “You did great, my good and faithful servant.”
