Mrs. Lola Mae Ray, age 73, of 101 Oak Street, Laurens, S.C., passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2020 at her home.
She was the widower of the late Johnny “Sleepy” Ray Sr. survived by her four son Calvin (Hope) Kernard (Tomeka) Kendall (Rena) Johnny (Alisande Uddyback) Ray; three grandchildren, Tyson T. Ray, Destiny Ray and Myles Ray; three brothers, Ed Powers, Bennie( Helen), Bennie Mack (Lizzie) Reid; four sisters Margaret Wrice, Vera Powers, Sara R. Simpson, Dianne Latimore. Five sisters-in-law; Dorothy Carter, Debra (Roy) Byrd, Mildred (Paul) Fleming, Sharon (Rev Mitchell) Neely, Vivian Ray; two brothers in-law, Charles (Dollie) Ray, and Carnell (Valerie) Ray.
Funeral arrangements for Mrs. Lola Mae Ray were held on Friday, November 6, 2020 at 1 pm at the C.D Beasley Memorial Chapel of the Beasley Funeral Home of Laurens, with Reverend Derrick Barksdale officiating, burial followed in the White Plains Baptist Church Cemetery.
