City of Clinton offers curbside services, encourages compliance to prevent illness
The City of Clinton is offering curbside service signage to help participating restaurants remain open during the current COVID-19 quarantine period.
The announcement was part of a 
press conference held Thursday morning by Clinton Mayor Bob McLean and department heads and offered Clinton residents an update about the city’s actions regarding COVID-19.

In order to help local businesses continue, Main Street Clinton is assisting by coordinating restaurants with matching signage and a specific Facebook page, “Clinton SC Support Local,” specifically designed to let citizens know which restaurants and businesses are still serving through drive through or curbside.
In addition, McLean reminded citizens that though all public offices are closed to the public, city services and business will continue as usual.
“In these past few days many changes have been made, and they are made with the health and safety of our residents and employees in mind,” McLean said.
“All public buildings are closed to the public but we are still conducting city business through drive through windows, by phone and through our online portal which can be found on our city’s website,” he said. “Citizens will still be responsible for paying bills on time,” though he added that the city has joined other utilities in the regions in suspending “the automatic disconnect of utilities at this time.”
McLean said police, fire and utilities will all be continuing in their regular service to residents, and encouraged residents to take every precaution to prevent the spread of illness.
