Shopping, Luck o’ the Irish this week for Finally Friday

For many years, Main Street Laurens’ Finally Friday has been known as a summer concert and event series, but starting this weekend it’s providing opportunities to enjoy shopping, some concerts or other special events.
“Due to input from the community, Main Street Laurens is moving most of the Finally Friday events to the second Friday of each month,” said Main Street director Jonathan Irick.
There is one exception to the new Friday event schedule, Irick said, and that is the annual Sip & Stroll, which is still set for Friday, April 24.

“This year’s Finally Friday kicks off on March 13 with a focus on shopping and dining in downtown,” Irick said.
Businesses and restaurants will be playing up a St. Patrick’s Day Theme, albeit a few days early, and there will be an opportunity for shoppers to scratch off tickets totaling $500 in coupons for Main Street member restaurants and businesses. The coupons are being sponsored by the Promotion Committee, a volunteer-run committee within the Main Street Laurens organization.

There will also be a chance to win tickets to the April Sip & Stroll.
