Jack Dean “JD” Elders

Dateline – Enoree, South Carolina

Jack Dean “JD” Elders, age 34, passed away Monday, October 14, 2019 at the Laurens County Hospital.

He was born in Greenwood, SC and is the son of Steve and Sherrill Elders. JD was a family man through and through, he was a loving husband, father, son, brother and grandson. He was the only Clemson Tiger Fan in a family of Carolina Fans. He was a member of the New Horizon Freewill Baptist Church. He was a bright light to all who knew him and will be deeply missed.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his wife, Jennifer Elders of the home; his daughter, Janet Elders of the home; his brother, Steven Lee Elders, II (Heather) of Enoree; his nieces, Peyton Lee Elders and Piper Lynn Elders; his paternal grandfather, Rev. Jack Elders and step-grandmother, Jean “Sunshine” Elders; his In-Laws, Roy and Martha Burr; his great-aunt and uncle, Betty and Cecil West; numerous aunts and uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

JD is predeceased by his grandmother, Janet Elders and his maternal grandparents, Everett and Frances Tyner.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday, October 18, 2019 at 3 PM at the New Horizon Freewill Baptist Church with interment to take place at Westview Memorial Park. The family will receive friends prior to the service from, 1 to 3 PM at the church.
