Russell Daniel Harvey

Russell Daniel Harvey, age 78, of 208 Furman Street, and husband of Grace Lee Collins Duvall Harvey, passed away on Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at his home.

Born in Gray Court he was a son of the late Frank and Alma Crocker Harvey. Russell was formerly employed with Wattsmill and retired from SCDOT. He was a member of Highland Home Baptist Church and was a Mason.

Surviving in addition to his wife of 32 years are his step-children: Elaine Leatherwood of Marietta, Jan Padgett and husband Michael of Laurens, David Duvall and wife Jane of Laurens; brothers, Festus Harvey of Laurens, William Harvey and wife Mary Ann of Gray Court; sister, Jeanette Lockhart and husband Alvin of Gray Court; 10 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 1 great-great grandchild.

In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a step-daughter, Cheryl Duvall Kirby and 4 siblings.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, on Friday, September 13, 2019, at Highland Home Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Ben Rumph with burial to follow in the church cemetery.

The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service on Friday.
