Virginia Wilson Norwood (Jenny)

Virginia Wilson Norwood (Jenny), age 50, of 112 Double O Finley Rd.; was called home by her heavenly father Thursday, June 27, 2019 at her home.

She was born in Clinton, South Carolina and was a daughter of William Joseph Wilson II (Joe) and Sandra Kay-Burnett Ervin.

Mrs. Norwood attended Genesis Church in Honea Path, SC, and was dedicated to helping others in need. Mrs. Norwood was passionate about helping vulnerable animals. She was the best cook, and enjoyed making organic supplements and medicines to help her family and friends. She will be remembered as a dedicated wife and mother, loving grandmother, and an amazing friend that loved helping others.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffrey Norwood of the home; her sons, Scottie Burkhalter, Kevin Miyares, and Bryan Miyares; her daughters, Mindy Miyares, Caroline Miyares, and Lesley Miyares; her step-children, Kris Norwood, Jami Norwood, and Stevi Stallings; her brother, William Joseph Wilson III (Joey); her sisters, Sandra Wilson (Sandy), and Margie Ervin; her grandchildren, Landon Wood, Pailyn Norwood, Kaytee Burkhalter, Carson Burkhalter, Madison Fowler, Maxwell Fowler, Bryson Mann, Emma Howell, Sadie Saxon; her beloved best friend, Contessa Norwood.

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, July 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Genesis Church in Honea Path, South Carolina by Reverend Mark S. Vaughn.

    Jenny I love you you were always there for me as a little girl then as I grew and got older you still were there you had the prettiest smile and such an amazing and nice respectful and concerning way towards others you’d help someone the best you could… You never hesitated.. I love you Jenny I remember us talking just a few days ago.. I love you and God rest your soul. I’m always here for your family for anything. Love always Mandy.

    Jenny, I’ve kept photos, never taken, of yourself and Joey, at the first scrapyard your Dad owned. Playing in tires like football practice at school. I shared those memories with yourself and Jeff years back. You will be missed daily. That smile most folks were pleasured to see. Things definitely will be different. Go Angel, You’ve earned those wings. Fly high Baby Girl. Prayers for us all left to figure out, now what.
