Mildred Bishop Garrett

Mildred Bishop Garrett, age 89, of 76 Daylilly Drive, and wife of Carl W. Garrett, Jr., passed away on Saturday, December 29, 2018, at NHC of Mauldin.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late James Lonnie and Essie Bagwell Bishop. A homemaker who loved to knit and sew, she was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: her children, Amy Garrett Tucker and husband Ronnie of Fountain Inn, Kirk Garrett, Sr. and wife Janet of Laurens, and Sophie Garrett Cassidy and husband Arthur of Kennesaw, GA; a sister, Sue Elledge of Ware Shoals; grandchildren, Kirk Garrett, Jr. of Laurens, Keri Burroughs (Andrew) of Laurens, Heather Smith (Corey) of Acworth, GA, Addison Cassidy (Cierra) of Kennesaw, GA, and Kirsten Cassidy of Kennesaw, GA; and great-grandchildren, Jesse, Jacob, and Jason Burroughs, Jaxon Smith, and Riley and Rosaleigh Cassidy.
A private graveside service for the family will be held on Monday, December 31, 2018, at Poplar Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Dr. Marcus Bishop.
The family will host a visitation for family and friends at The Kennedy Mortuary from 12:00-1:30 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2018.
