Dolly Gwinn Frady, 87, of 88 Alamo Trail passed away Saturday, December 22, 2018, at NHC in Laurens.
Born in Laurens County, she was a daughter of the late William Clarence and Lonie Cooper Burton. Mrs. Frady was a retired nurse having worked many years with Doctors Allen and Irvin. A member of Lucas Avenue Baptist Church, she was a loving mother and grandmother.
Surviving are: her children, Mike Gwinn and wife Beverly of Laurens and Dianne Gwinn of Laurens; sisters, Lena Mae Bass of Gwinnett County, Ga., and Mary Frances Wasson of Rock Hill; grandchildren, Christie Moore, Zoltan Szabo, Meredith Edwards, Megan Nix, Jamie Smith, Corey Maxwell, and Brandon Maxwell; great-grandchildren, Nicole Davis, Ty Davis, Isabella Moore, Cameron White, Jaidyn White, Sarah Jones, Nathaniel Jones, Emmy Smith, Caleb Maxwell, and Josh Maxwell.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by: her husbands, Roy Edwin “Jack” Gwinn and Noel F. Frady; sister, Dorothy Jane Layman; brothers, Julian Thomas Burton, William Cortez Burton, and Joe Bond Burton; and her beloved cat, “Socks.”
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Lucas Avenue Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Michael Post with burial in Rose Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.
