BREAKING: Football schedule changed for Thursday

Clinton High School announced changes to its middle school and JV football schedule due to the impending track of Hurricane Michael, with all games moved to Wednesday.

Clinton’s 8th grade game with Whitmire has now been canceled, and the 7th grade team will play Southside Christian at 5 p.m. The JV team follows at 7 p.m.

Laurens’ 9th grade team will not play Thursday against Mann, but it is not due to Michael. Mann does not have enough healthy players for the game, thus the game has been called off. Laurens and Mann, however, will play the JV contest Thursday at 6 p.m.

Hickory Tavern Middle School is now slated to face Mid-Carolina Wednesday at 5 p.m. No other games involving Laurens District 55 schools have been impacted as of yet.

And the Laurens Middle-Wright Middle game for Thursday has been moved to Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. It will still be played at Laurens Middle.

Friday’s varsity games have not been impacted.
