Former Presbyterian College women’s tennis coach Catherine Dunagan was announced Tuesday as the new assistant coach for the Furman women’s team. She will coach with head coach Adam Herendeen, who previously coached the men’s team at PC before joining the Paladins in 2016.
Dunagan was head coach of the women’s team for the last seven years. Her team won 74 matches in her time with the Blue Hose, most in the program’s Division I history. PC achieved its first three winning seasons in 2015, 2017 and 2018.
In a post on Twitter Tuesday, Dunagan said she was “extremely excited” about the opportunity to coach at Furman.
“God has opened this door for the next season in our lives, and I am excited for the opportunity it brings for my family,” Dunagan said.
