Vickie Louise Brown Tumblin

Vickie Louise Brown Tumblin, 70, of 13221 Hwy. 76 W. and wife of James Earl Tumblin, passed away Wednesday, September 5, 2018, at Laurens County Memorial Hospital.

Born in McCormick, S.C., she was a daughter of the late William Claude and Thelma Louise Rappe Brown. A member of Henderson Baptist Church, she was retired from Torrington.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by:  a son, Jamie Tumblin and wife Tracie of Hickory Tavern; brothers, Terry Brown and wife Tina of Newberry and Donald Brown and wife Barbara of Clinton; a sister, Laura Rachel Gresham and husband Frank of Joanna; grandchildren, Natalie, Taylor, and Tamra; and a great-grandchild, Pressley.

In addition to her parents, Vickie was predeceased by brothers, Larry and Nick Brown and a sister, Claudia Ray Gresham.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2018, at The Kennedy Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Bryan Atkinson with burial in Westview Memorial Park.

The family will be at the residence and will receive friends at The Kennedy Mortuary from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, prior to the service.
