Water main break at LA impacts school, sports

A water main break at Laurens Academy Thursday forced the school to close at 12:15 p.m., and it will remain closed through Friday.

All after-school care is also off due to the break, and the home volleyball match scheduled for Thursday against Wardlaw Academy has also been postponed. There was no make-up date for that contest. Friday’s football game at Faith/Ridge will not be impacted.

School is slated to resume Monday.
