William Cantrell

William Lee “Bill” Cantrell, Sr., 78, of Gray Court, passed away on Tuesday July 31, 2018. Born in Spartanburg County, S.C., on March 7, 1940, he was the son of the late Leon Defoye and Ellie Mae Cantrell, as well as the husband of Diane Owens Cantrell. Bill was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. He was a Shriner and an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt. He enjoyed traveling, and was an all-around handyman.

The funeral service for Mr. Cantrell was held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 5, at Friendship Baptist Church. Burial followed in the church cemetery. The family received friends on Saturday, August 4, from 5-7 p.m. at Fletcher Funeral Service.
