William Levi “Bill” Bobo
William Levi “Bill” Bobo, 80, of Laurens, S.C., and husband of Mary Kate Fowler Bobo, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018, at Greenville Memorial Hospital.
Born in Union County, he was a son of the late Elmer Franklin and Kate Stevens Bobo and was the last surviving member of his immediate family, which included 10 brothers and sisters. He was retired from Conwood Corporation and was a Mason and Shriner. A faithful member of First Baptist Church of Laurens for over 50 years, he was a member of the Barraca Sunday School Class, served on several church committees, and was actively involved in the church’s disaster relief team. Bill was an avid woodworker, loved hunting and fishing, and was a certified beekeeper with the Laurens County Beekeepers Association. He was actively involved with Laurens Dixie Youth Baseball for many years.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Sunday, February 11, 2018, at First Baptist Church, with burial in Rosemont Cemetery in Union, S.C.
The family will be at the home and will receive friends at First Baptist Church on Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.
