Irmo quarterback John Ragin threw for 142 yards and rushed for 55 yards and three touchdowns, including the game-winner with 48 seconds left in regulation, as the Irmo Yellow Jackets remained undefeated and handed the Laurens Raiders their second straight loss in a 28-21 decision Friday night in Irmo.
Ragin’s final touchdown run, a 2-yard score, capped an 8-play, 70-yard drive that had followed Troy Dendy’s second rushing touchdown of the game, a touchdown that tied the game at 21-all. Dendy rushed for 77 yards and two touchdowns, and also cashed in on a hook-and-ladder play from quarterback Ryan Campbell to wide receiver Deonta Smith – who then pitched the ball to Dendy, who stormed down the sideline for a total play of 50 yards.
Campbell threw for 213 yards and one touchdown, along with an interception.
