Wardlaw Academy football rolls past LA
The Laurens Academy Crusaders’ football team took to the field a day earlier than normal for its second game of the year, but the Wardlaw Patriots proved far too tough to stop in a 62-0 victory at Todd Kirk Field.
Wardlaw (2-0) scored on each offensive series except the last one – which was stopped by the end of the second half – and did not allow a first down to LA (0-2) until the Crusaders’ final series of the game.
Wardlaw also had a defensive touchdown on an interception return in the first half.
LA hits the road next Friday when it plays at Andrew Jackson.
